WHAT is Software testing?

Software testing is the process to detect the defects and minimize the risk associated with the residual defects.

WHY is software tested?

Software testing is done to ensure quality in the software i.e. minimize defects to least as possible and to assess the software before its release in the market.

WHO performs software testing?

Testing is done externally by black box testers and internally by developers, i.e. overall software is tested by a tester in the similar way as it would be used by a user and developer tests the code after writing them.

WHEN is it done?

Software is usually tested after it is coded.
