# Idealized Bode Plot of different frequency responses-page-1

The plot (curve) obtained by joining the st-line segments called (asymptotes ) which approximates the frequency response of an amplifier in called identified bode plot.

One important characteristics of idealized bode plot is that the response curve for the product of two or more transfer functions is just the sum of the response curve of individual transfer functions, when gain are plotted in dB

Determination of the frequency response of multistage amplifier is made simple and convenient by idealized Bode plot.

Transfer function of multistage amplifier may contain terms like:

Bode Amplitude plot for

(i) A = K

|A| = K

|A| in dB = 20 log_{10} K = constant

(ii) A = j_{f}/f_{o}

|A| = f/f_{o}

|A| in dB = 20 log_{10} f/f_{o}

When f/f_{o} = 1, |A| in dB = 0

f/f_{o} = 2, |A| in dB = 6

f/f_{o} = 10, |A| in dB = 20

When f/f_{o} = 1, |A| in dB = 0

f/f_{o} = 2, |A| in dB = -6

f/f_{o} = 10, |A| in dB = -20

At A = K, θ = 0°

A = j_{f}/f_{o}, θ = 90°
